The form of the Oregon Table follows an archetypal outline with contrasting surfaces. One side of each component is hand carved to form a curved and undulating textured surface. This is seen on the underside and insides of the legs, contrasted with flat top and outer surfaces. This technique is an expression of the craftsperson’s hand, it elevates, amplifies and conveys the tactile qualities of the timber and workmanship involved, which can be felt by the end user.
